Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 3, 2026

Welcome to Real Home Intel. Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — all in plain language. By using our website at realhomeintel.com and any related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few ways, depending on how you interact with the Platform:

Information you provide directly

  • Name, email address, and phone number (contact forms, account creation)
  • Property addresses you search or request report cards for
  • Messages you send through our AI chat or contact forms
  • For agents and vendors: brokerage name, license number, headshot, bio, service areas, and business details
  • Payment information (processed securely by our third-party payment processor — we never store your card number)

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)

2. Public Data Sources

Our Real Report Card™ reports are generated from publicly available government data. We do not collect private information about property owners. Sources include:

  • U.S. Census Bureau — demographics, income, housing data
  • FEMA — flood zone designations
  • EPA — environmental risk data (Superfund sites, toxic releases, air quality)
  • HUD — Fair Market Rent estimates
  • NCES — school locations and district data
  • NOAA — climate and weather history
  • EIA — electricity rates by region
  • NREL — solar resource potential
  • OpenStreetMap — nearby amenities and transit
  • Third-party real estate data providers — property values, rent estimates, comparable sales

All data presented in report cards is factual, sourced from public databases, and cited with its origin.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate property report cards based on the addresses you search
  • Provide AI-powered answers to your real estate questions
  • Connect consumers with agents and home service professionals
  • Manage agent and vendor profiles, sponsorships, and subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails (welcome, lead notifications, payment confirmations)
  • Send optional nurture or informational emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Improve Platform features, performance, and accuracy
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

Real Home Inteldoes not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Period. We share data only as described in this policy — with service providers who help us operate the Platform, or when required by law.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Remember your preferences
  • Understand how visitors use the Platform (via Google Analytics)

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Platform functionality, such as staying signed in.

6. Report Card Sharing

When you generate a Real Report Card™, the report is accessible via a unique URL. Anyone with that link can view the report. Reports contain only publicly available property and neighborhood data — they do not include your name, email, or any personal information about the person who requested the report.

7. Professional Directory

Agents and home service providers who create profiles on the Platform choose to make their professional information public. This includes name, brokerage, headshot, bio, service areas, and reviews. Profile information is indexed by search engines. You may edit or request removal of your profile at any time by contacting us or through your dashboard.

8. AI-Powered Q&A

Our AI chat feature uses third-party language models to answer your real estate questions. Conversations may be logged to improve response quality and detect abuse. Do not share sensitive personal information (Social Security numbers, financial account details, etc.) in the chat. AI responses are informational only and do not constitute professional advice.

9. User Accounts & Authentication

When you create an account, your password is securely hashed — we never store passwords in plain text. Session tokens are used to keep you signed in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure database hosting, and access controls. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant third-party providers. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

11. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the Platform. These providers have access only to the data necessary to perform their functions:

  • Payment processing (Square)
  • Email delivery (Resend)
  • Analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Hosting and CDN (Netlify)
  • Database (Supabase)
  • AI language models (OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Maps and business data (Google Places)

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

12. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data

  • Right to Know: You can request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: You can request we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt Out: We do not sell personal information, so this right is already honored by default.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

15. European Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. Our lawful basis for processing is consent (when you submit a form or create an account) and legitimate interest (to operate and improve the Platform). To exercise your rights or withdraw consent, contact us using the information below.

16. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the services you requested, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or a notice on the Platform.
